Some of Diablo 2's best loot will be easier to come by in the game's upcoming remake. Activision Blizzard - which is currently facing a lawsuit of years of discrimination and harassment (see a summary below) - has revealed on the Diablo 3 forums that rune words, unique items, and the recipe for the Hradical Cube were not included in the ranking games will be limited and will now also be included in non-ladder multiplayer and single player games.
"We know these items complement the outstanding architecture and playstyle that are important to the community," said Community Manager Hooley. "We've also heard from the community for some time that these D2R ladder items should be integrated into single-player mode. Single-player players can now take part in the metagame that became known from the original multiplayer ranked game. Single-player now also has access to Have Pandemonium events and Uber Diablo content. "
The community manager went on to explain that rankings and lists will be implemented shortly after the release in order to "mitigate the impact on the servers and protect the server stability of the game during the release period".
